A Month for Flowers

Seeing that I've taken a long hiatus from photoblogging, I feel it only right that I offer you flowers as a sincere form of apology!!! First set you find is: a tropical rain drenched yellow hibiscus found at Kapiolani Park, O'ahu, HI

Autumn Take 0004

Though you can't really see "autumn" by this particular shot, it was taken the same day as my previous entries and on the opposite side of the lake. Saranac Lake.

Autumn Take 0001

Theresa, New York State.
This year autumn came early, and with a burst of vibrant colors superior to last years weak appearance. It may surprise you then, that I would wish to show off my autumn collection with last years captures. Go easy on me: this year I was without wheels which greatly dampened my "snapping" capabilities. First clip is first in the season, with limited color changes, but very much worthy of a brag!

Photo Friday: Accidental

I missed a previous weeks challenge: destruction, but I found this particular photograph also fits this weeks theme: ACCIDENTAL. Carelessly placed in a box full of papers during our kitchen painting project. During the "count off" of doors as we finished the project, we discovered two missing. After hunting high and low and no doors, we soon found these hiding beneath a whole stack of papers in the burn pile. They were accidentally put to a premature death!

Photo Friday: Circle

This was taken at a restaurant in New York on our way home from Buffalo. King Arthur's Roundtable ... obvious "circle." I enhanced the photograph with "soft glow." My husband helped me get this image.

Draw that Bridge!

We crossed over this bridge a number of times yet could not figure "how" it was raised. On our last trip across, bars came down, lights came on, and UP went the bridge! *Ontario, Canada 2006

Redbird In Hawaii

Though this is not a typical scene you'd expect from the tropics, here sit two Brazilian Cardinals on a pine tree at Pali Lookout, O'ahu, Hawaii.
